was it intentional? no, surely not. the words were probably meant to be nothing more than playful banter / innocent teasing between friends. sure, neku wasn’t the easiest to get along with ( a little prickly to the touch, as if that was anything new for sora! ) but even he knew when a push teetered too close into becoming a shove, right? for the briefest moment / a quick ‘ blink and you miss it! ’ moment, a terrifying violence rocks through him — eyes widen and jaw sets and hands turn to fists at his side, ready to knock the mockery out of his words. but because sora believes in the friendship established between them, he’ll huff at the question instead.

did he? the instinctual reaction is to wave and brush the kind offer aside / shoulder every burden the way he always would, back in the realm of light. but weren’t those same habits the reason he found himself here? hadn’t he torn apart the dimensional fabric all because he couldn’t accept help from the people around him, always endangering himself as he runs off all alone? ( the caged bird has only himself to blame for plucked wings and rotting feathers — and that is simply fact. )

did sora want to talk about it? not particularly. but running away won’t really help anyone, and it’s not like he has anything better than to do! the city is a labyrinth, the apartment was barren, and the usual company he found himself surrounded by ( strelitzia aside ) were as pleasant as pulling teeth! ❛ well.. i kinda messed things up. pretty badly. more than how i usually mess things up! and now, i’m stuck in this world with no way of ever going back home. ❜ any information about yozora is pocketed away — for that was sora’s executioner, and nobody elses. ❛ i guess the whole thing just has me feeling a little down. ❜
