Easy Ways to Have Fun Time With Your Little Ones

Bringing up toddlers is a full time job which could become several degrees tougher at mealtimes. Kids can be fussy eaters which not only make parents worry about their nutrition but also make it a mess to make them eat their food. While it would be easier to keep kids engaged in physical activity on school playground equipment, it can be quite a job to make them eat their vegetables. That said mealtimes can be an excellent opportunity for parents to teach their kids two very valuable life lessons; table manners and value of nutrition. Invite them into the kitchen and teach them how to cook the meals and ask for their input as well. Give them a chance to add condiments or tear off lettuce for the salad. If you are worried about handing them the knife, it would be a better way to ask them to set the crockery and cutlery on the table. An added advantage of this would be that you will get to teach them the name and purpose of different types of plates, forks and other equipment. Make the environment as much fun as they have on playground equipment and they will be more willing to finish their food. While you are asking for their help, also remember to appreciate their doings. Kids are naturally curious and energetic and being commended is always motivating for them.
