Well I’m reading #playingbig by #taramohr at the moment which is great but for food and health inspiration I constantly read and cook from #thenudenutritionist. Ughhh!! For some reason this adage became very popular for women to say. It circled in coaching, self help and began to creep into everyday conversations. When something was being explained it would end with “Does that make sense?” I have A L W A Y S hates it. If I was listening to a podcast or audio book, you got an immediate eye roll. I always took it like they felt they were dropping some serious wisdom and clearly there was no way the average layperson could follow their thought train. Calm down, Lil Bow Wow. We got it. However badass @tarasophiamohr points out a different way this phrase is problematic. When women say it, it assumes that they aren’t making sense in their thoughts. It implies that we don’t quite know what we are talking about. Maybe we aren’t being intelligible? Women! Stop it.
