This Week in Events
Every Tuesday, I plan to post about what’s coming up in events that week.
Tonight, watch the Standard Super League at 6pm Pacific at http://twitch.tv/magic! The 12 competitors are divided into three groups: The Brewers, the Group of Death, and the Streamers. Tonight is Week 1, so it’s the first opportunity to see the players in action!
After tomorrow’s downtime, the recently-announced event changes take effect. If you’ve got some Play Points in your account already, you can use them to join any number of events. If not, you can start earning them!
Qualifiers for the Magic Origins Limited Championship also begin after the downtime (and they will accept your Play Points as well) and end Tuesday night. Win a Conclave Naturalist promo just for participating, and a Languish promo if you do well enough to qualify for the Sunday, August 23 championship event.
Want to qualify for Pro Tour Battle for Zendikar? It’s a double PTQ weekend on Magic Online. There’s a Standard PTQ Finals on Saturday and a Magic Origins Limited PTQ Finals on Sunday. Prelims start after the downtime through the day before the finals, and will accept Play Points to join them that way. Good luck qualifying!
