I've seen it going around that Liams confrontational ish confident lines were seen as creepy and that ppl are excited to see him go and I'm like - he was being a bit smug but at the same time just trying to make a play to have a chance with Fallon after he was really into her and she rejected him. Manipulative? A bit yes, but you can technically say it's all his opinions. He has to have bravado when he says it, if he shows insecurity that is literally gonna do the opposite of his goal. Thoughts?
Yeah, I saw some people pointing this out as well, but we have to keep in mind that these people either ship Mallon or simply don’t like Liam. Obviously, when you hate a character, every thing that they do on screen will annoy you and feel like just another reason to dislike that character further. I think we’ve all reacted like this at some point about a character.
Personally, I don’t think any of his actions were creepy. They had to pretend they were married if they wanted Max to buy the company, and in order to sell that lie, they obviously had to show some affection, like kissing each other.
Liam obviously isn’t that bothered by his family still thinking that they’re married because it means that he gets to spend time with her. Duh, he’s in love with her. So far, he hasn’t forced himself on her or anything genuinely creepy.
He has to be confident with his flirting in order to get his point across, but he hasn’t done anything bad. In fact, compared to other love triangles in movies/books/tv shows, his flirting is rather tame and not so in your face.
Yes, he was a bit manipulative when he told Culhane that Fallon isn’t that happy with the engagement, I guess, but we’re talking about a love triangle in a soap opera. It’s called drama. It’s completely normal for a show like Dynasty. Not a single character is 100% morally pure in this show and Liam is no exception.
The same people that say all this also deny that Fallon is unsure of her feelings which? Is not true? She admitted it herself to Steven in 2x01 that she will get “confused about her feelings” around Liam. It doesn’t sound like she’s indifferent to him. Also, if she was sooo uncomfortable around Liam, she wouldn’t willingly kiss him on the cheek when they went for coffee. Think of it this way, if you wanted to get away from someone, you would never do that, right? How many times have we even seen Fallon kiss someone on the cheek like that?
If you don’t like Liam or Falliam then obviously you’re not going to see that they feel attraction for each other, because you’re not going to want to see it. I don’t blame these people tho, they’re entitled to their own opinions and they don’t have to ship or like anyone if they don’t want to.
