Dearest @taylorswift,

I almost brought myself to tears just thinking about this because it’s so so important for me to say and for you to know and you’re important and I’m trying to convince myself that I’m important.

You’ve inspired me to be a musician. I love writing songs and singing and sharing stories. I love sharing the truth. Which is why my backup plan is to become a journalist. But not just any journalist, I want to bring truth and honesty and integrity back into the world of journalism. It’ll be hard, but that’s what I want for my life. To first be performing my truth for the world, then bring the truth of others to light. No more tabloid crap. I grew up throughout basically all of my school years with other kids saying mean things behind my back and spreading mean rumours about me. It was so painful, lonely, isolating, and sad, and I’m still repairing my self esteem and self worth to this day. I cannot imagine what going through that must’ve been like for you going through that in the public eye.

I’ve been through a lot. Mental illness, two suicide attempts, anorexia and almost starving myself to death. Yet I’m still here. You’ve played a huge part in that. I will be thankful for you forever. I will hold you in my heart for the rest of my life. I hope one day I get the chance to meet you again and tell you all this in person. I love you. @taylornation
