Why do I even bother going on the Ant-man tag,
It just fills me full of anger.
Seriously guys, Before you make assumptions about a characters Powers and Personality, do a bit more research! This does not mean you have to go out of your way to get a whole back catalogue of the comics, it simply means googleing before you say anything so you don't look like a fool.
Like before you say Ant-Man has stupid powers, just look up his article on the marvel.wikia
Lets look at Scot Lang's article for example (seen as it is Scot Lang in the upcoming film and that's the reason so many are complaining)
a punch delivered by the half-inch high Ant-Man would feel like the blow of a normal-sized man
It also states
Ant-Man possessed the normal human strength of a man of his age, height, and build who engaged in moderate regular exercise.
Imagine being punched by an ant with the strength of a well built fully grown man, Also keep in mind that you won't be expecting it because you won't see him.
Don't forget that he can grow to be a giant as well as shrink to the size of an ant, He can also shrink others.
Not only does he have that going for him but he's got his gadgets as well, like most other super heroes.
Ant-Man's wrist gauntlets enabled him to fire bio-electric blasts of adjustable force.His original helmet was able to fire 'disruptor' blasts of concussive force..
It takes minimal efforts to look all that up, So please refrain from running your mouth about how he just shrinks and orders ants around.
I don't mind if Ant Man isn't the superhero for you but saying that his powers are stupid? Really? He's got a power that is slightly out of the ordinary, that does not mean it's a bad power.
And I know a lot of people have a problem with Hank Pym because he's a wife beater, I'm not defending a wife beater here but keep in mind that the original instance came from the artist of said issue drawing it as if he hit Jan, the writer never intended it to be like that. In Ultimate however, Yeah he beats the crap out of her, But thats Ultimates, that doesn't speak for every universes ant-man. Cap's a dick in Ultimates (atleast i feel he is), Thor's a eco-warrior, and Tony's got cancer.
You don't know what kind of Movie!Ant-man we'll get till it's out, the Movie characters so far have been quite different to the Comic characters so we can expect a new(ish) Ant-Man that will be different from the other Ant-men
