Usually, when it came to getting up in the morning, Asgore would often struggle with the prospect of getting out of bed. Perhaps it was because the Underground had so little sunlight- or maybe it was because of the stress of being alone that often overwhelmed him at times that he couldn’t focus on anything but.
But now things were different, he had everything- the sunlight, room to grow wherever he wanted- it was a new start. He would help rebuild the future for humans and monsters.
As he continued gardening, however, with a warm, jolly smile on his face, he couldn’t help but feel slightly worried. As selfish as it was, he still felt somewhat left out and lonely. He could not place a finger on what it was- but he told himself every time when he had these thoughts that they were better off without him- they didn’t need him being clumsy all over the place.
What was important, however, was focusing on what was good for the others. He would make up for his mistakes, that was a promise he’d silently promised to himself once they made their way out of the underground.
His furry ears turned to the sound of a small crash, and he noticed a child had fallen off their bike in attempts to get to school. Feeling sympathy for the small student, he went over and helped them up, asking gently if they were okay- before letting them go, watching them run off.
Wiping sweat off his brow, he admired the work he had done on the school so far. He had planted several golden flowers in front of the school, to give it a rather spectacular display.
- Right. Tori- Toriel had wanted to see him about something important, in her office. What it was, he did not know, but he couldn’t help but feel slightly nervous as he began to head inside, carefully avoiding the doorframe in order to keep his horns from scraping against it.
Carefully clearing his throat to swallow his nerves, he knocked on the door and waited apprehensively.
