We will be in Fiji for two weeks: the first week will be spent addressing major issues within the village and the schools. These include: providing fresh running water to schools, helping to improve poor infrastructure, and educating the students about hygeine and other important subjects. The second week will be spent on an "adventure tour" which will include island hopping, snorkeling, surfing, and other exciting experiences.
As you can imagine, this trip will be very expensive for Hayley and I. The fact that we are university students trying to save money for school makes us want to fundraise the majority of the funds even more. The trip itself costs $1996 which includes food and accomodations as well as going towards hiring local tradespeople, tools for the projects, and donations towards local organizations. Flights are an additional $1500-$2000 expense. In total, for each of us it will cost approximately $4000.
This is why we've created a blog to spread the word and keep everyone informed on our latest fundraising excursion. So please tell yours friends and keep checking back!
