SURFS UP!

I don’t understand surfing. It seems so boring. YOU DO THE SAME THING EVERY TIME YOU SEE A WAVE. I grew up in Western New York where it snowed 6 months out of the year. We skated in the spring, summer and fall, and then turned our basements into mini skateparks in the winter (with a tv down there to watch the Buffalo Bills play of course). At least with skating theres different obstacles, you don't have to hang out in water, and you can have different landscapes to enjoy. Surfing is just water. Waves and water. Seems lame. When I expressed this to my girlfriend all she could respond with was, “well at least surfers don't have acne.” Thanks.
