when did you first buy your own player?
so i answered how i got into collecting but as for players i used my clock radio’s cd player for years until i got rid of it for whatever reason. so now i have a dedicated cd player but it sucks and also idk where it came from cause i didn’t buy it so either the curb or my mom had it for like 20 years or maybe the thrift store? anyways the only player i’ve actually BOUGHT was my discman which i got a couple years ago for five dollars at the thrift store
which record in your collection is in the worst condition?
all MY cds are in perfect condition but for the household collection we have a gram parsons cd that is basically unlistenable from all the skipping (dare i say overuse? we love that cd). and our mermaid avenue copy is literally cracked through half of one side (DEFINITELY overuse we played that so much). but it’s actually still listenable for the first like five songs because cds play from the inner rings going out unlike vinyl! should probably get a new one tho
