Verdant wind is actually the copy paste route. An interview with the developers said that Silver snow was the first route they made
Okay, fine. What’s your point?
Aside from the fact that I find it incredibly rude for people to jump onto posts with the whole “WELL ACTUALLY” preface (especially when they’re citing non-canon sources like interviews that most people aren’t going to know about; if it doesn’t appear directly in the game, I couldn’t care less about it), the fact remains that Seteth’s character is incredibly poorly served by the narrative of Silver Snow. I find it telling that when I played that route, I found numerous narrative elements jarring, illogical, or poorly rationalized, whereas they fit perfectly with Verdant Wind and Claude’s particular knack for unorthodox tactics. Given how well that narrative line works for Claude and how poorly it works with Seteth, there’s no reason why they couldn’t have gone back and made something wholly new and unique for him that lets his character shine, instead of forcing through a story that doesn’t work for the character at the heart of it.
