Daniel: "Gavin? I think I'm ready to make my first big mistake of my own and only my own volition..."
Gavin remembered that Tina liked to feel the wind on her skin, so he took her up the cliffs by the lighthouse.
And there somehow everything fell into place. There were the sky and the ocean and that endless vastness... Wind moved water, creating waves and foam. Water condensed upwards, only to come down again as rain, a self-contained system in which the islands, even those that called themselves continents, were insignifcant.
Generations of seafaring Chens whispered "This is where you belong" into Tina's mind.
Gavin: "Tina says you were too sheltered all your life. First in the orphanage, then in the mob.
But it was more like prison, was it? People telling you what to do and what the right thing was, taking away all your agenda...
None of the mistakes you made and none of your triumphs really were your own. You never really lived. Not in any other way than through others, that is."
Household Bio:
A trio in witness protection: The principal witness (a former mobster), the detective who put it all together and the officer who carried out the actual arrest. But who is who? Or does it even matter, when they have to leave not only their hometown, but their country behind? Each other is all they have left now.
If you remember my characters from The Sims, you know who is who. If not, feel free to send me your guesses in the comments over the course of this chronicle!
Gavin: "Do you ever think about us having kids?"
Tina: "I'm the last of my branch of the family. I should have at least one."
Gavin: "Uh... I'll ask again later."
Tina: "Armi, your damaged tactical unit claims it is halfway through the clone wars. The rest of you correctly discern that it is only halfway through the night, with at least half a dozen Ewoks on your trail."
Armitage: "I... I take my helmet off. And unequip the armor."
Gavin: "Woo-hoo! The empire strips back! - I beep that out loud in Binary."
Armitage: "No, for real! If we leave the iconic armor behind, the murder bears might just take us for rebels."
Tina: "The IT-01 interrogation droid of yours might be a dead giveaway..."
Rose: "No biggie! I stuff Gav into my backpack!"
One Endor hour later...
Tina: "General Pryde points with his stick and with unveiled disgust in his voice orders: Throw down your weapons, rebel-scum!"
Gavin: "Well, let no one say the plan didn't work. A bit too well, maybe..."
Rose: "I mean, it's Pryde? He never sounded any less disgusted when he talked to us while we were still with the Empire. I really wouldn't object to giving that guy a good whack on his Sith-worshipping head!"
Gavin & Armitage: *murmurs of agreement*
Rose: "Tina, I toss my backpack to the ground, away from the group, so that Pryde thinks we surrender. But I unbuckle it beforehand, so that Gav can jump out and catch the General by surprise"
Tina: "Unfortunately the imperials take that for a grenade attack and immediately open fire! Roll for initiative!"
Gavin: "So what's the plan for next session? Do we go through with joining the rebellion?"
Rose: "Yes, of course! That's how those stories go!"
Armitage: "Weeeell, MY story goes wherever the highest bidder for Vader's helmet resides."
Gavin: "Right, you pocketed that creepy thing... Did you at least remove the skull beforehand?"
Tina: "He never said so, so: No. The skull is still inside."
Armitage: "Woot! Two items on the auction block!"
Tina: "Armi and Rose are on their way."
Gavin: "On horseback?"
Tina: "Nah, by bus. Thank you for being a supportive boyfriend and filling the third chair at the table!"
Gavin: "Don't worry, it's not just helping out. While I'm not as deep into the game as the rest of you, I'm having fun playing!"
Gavin: "Do you have to wear your new hat indoors? I can't see your face with it on!"
Tina: "That's the general idea."
Gavin: "But I'm just creating a character. What's there to hide from me?"
Tina: "What I think of your build, of course."
Gavin: "I take this to mean that it's just that great, thank you very much."
I haven't figured out how to assign them chairs. Tina is supposed to use the red dice, Gavin the green ones and the white are for whoever joins the group.
