How to wear Shoes

Plimsoles. Never can stand these right from the shoe box. Too white. Too new. Makes you feel like a teen boy model from a department store circular. You got to scuff em up. Like a Ramones album cover. You got to get those toes a little out of shape. Got to get a slight wear and discoloration. It’s the only way to wear them.

These are some Merona’s (Target in-store designer label). You find a lot of Merona stuff from last season at your local thrift store. Not bad at all. Mostly their answer to fast fashion and, more times than not, a nice tidy fit. I’m not entirely sold on the length of the toes from a bird’s eye view, but I like the shift here. Reminds me of early track shoes. A nice art school flavor instead of your typical Vans or Converse.
