Cool things about the post dollhouse trauma pretty little liar eps:
the offhand line "reality has been through a lot"
aria giving up writing (not just not wanting to write about what she went thru but abt anything) and instead turning to photography like she became inarticulate and drawn to visuals and how when she eventually confides in her father she uses her photos as an aid in explaining what she went thru. Also her thing w dolls and how that aspect of the experience lingers more w her than the others when thru out the show she is the one who has been emphasized as petite and unintimidating w moments of assertiveness framed as counter intuitive by virtue of this (being doll like)
hanna wanting to keep her bedside table and being the one who feels guiltiest/most preoccupied w her guilt over what they did to each other and simultaneously the one most insistent they spend time together etc.
emily being the one to take in the only person whos been through something harder than the main 4 and giving her her old clothes looking after her etc when her immediate reaction to the trauma was wanting to feel like she was capable of protecting her family. And being insistent that this girl should not seek help elsewhere/insulted at the suggestion that she might not be able to give her enough help
nothing in particular about spencer unfortunately. I guess she said the first thing.
the way constant surveillance was such a huge aspect of their trauma and yet when theyre out so many of their loved ones insist on monitoring and chaperoning them, up to putting trackers in their phones, which all of them resist. Connection explicitly acknowledged by hanna to caleb but otherwise just felt
