I Wish To Say...

Thank you to those who supported me in some trying times. Those who donated or shared, thank you. My grandmother is now doing better and is well, so thank you. Now, with that being said, I also apologize for my silence and absence in terms of Tumblr, I've been busy and I also don't wish to annoy any of my RP partners -- they have lives and are more than likely busy, so you may see me reblog or like something (note that it'll be under annytinthenomad, because that's main blog). DYLAN CARTER:

- business owner - 35 to 37 range - from nola - heterosexual

traits: - troubled, possessive, moody + quiet, considerate, noble

                                        muse tag + bio + interactions

triggers to expect: alcohol abuse, drugs, physical abuse

short about: 

Troubled childhood with an abusive addict father. Dylan was an affectionate caring kid but that was beat out of him by his Dad. His Father not only beat his son but it was almost a weekly occurrence that he came home drunk and with an attitude. Dinner would come with a floor show as young Dylan watched the male role model in his life punch and throw the one person he love, his Mom, about the kitchen like she was a rag doll. 

This had a troubling effect on Dylan who turned to alcohol from a young age. Alcohol soon wasn’t enough and he turned to drugs. The day his Father died, Dylan didn’t know how to process it and his Mom found him almost dead on the floor. She blamed herself for both their downfalls but at least she still had a chance with her son, so she vowed to not let history repeat itself with her son. 

After years of hard recovery, Dylan found his way back in the world and surprisingly it was working in a bar. People said being so close to the thing that nearly broke him would be too hard but Dylan found distraction in the labor of the job and in helping others find their way home safely. 

Fast forward several years and now Dylan owns his own bar with his Mom by his side.  He has slowly introduced alcohol back into his life but he’s managing it, although the older woman still thinks her son is sober.

The Poker Prodigy (0/1): During a poker game at an exclusive underground club, Ian encounters a human who can read his every move, unnervingly matching his skill in reading subtle behaviors. The human’s confidence piques Ian’s curiosity, and he begins to suspect they might not be entirely human—or that their motives go beyond the game itself.

The Eternal Hacker (0/1): A young, ambitious hacker uncovers traces of Ian’s activities on the dark web and tracks him down, seeking mentorship. The hacker’s boldness reminds Ian of his own early years in computing. Despite his detachment, Ian finds himself compelled to teach them, seeing their glowing passion for technology as a faint echo of his lost humanity.

The Soul Dealer (0/1 ): While investigating a dark web client tied to supernatural activity, Ian uncovers another reaper masquerading as a broker, offering extensions on life to desperate humans—for a price. Confronting the reaper in the middle of a deal, Ian must decide whether to expose their actions or join forces to exploit the unique opportunity, knowing it goes against everything he was taught.

The Memory Ian Chose to Keep (0/1): Ian meets someone whose presence brings back flashes of his mortal life as a farmer. Drawn by an unexplainable sense of familiarity, Ian uses his memory manipulation abilities to explore the link between them, risking emotional vulnerability in the process.

The Merino Wool Affair (0/1): A luxury fashion designer uncovers Ian’s deep knowledge of Merino wool and Italian textiles and seeks him out for advice. Reluctantly, Ian agrees to help, but their shared passion for craftsmanship forces him to confront memories of his peaceful decade as a sheep farmer—an era he secretly longs for but knows he can never return to.

A Soul Ian Cannot Reap (0/1): For the first time in centuries, Ian encounters a human whose soul he cannot reap. Determined to uncover the reason, Ian reluctantly befriends them, only to realize their life is inexplicably tied to his past, forcing him to confront long-buried guilt.

The broker of secrets (0/1): An enigmatic figure claiming to trade in both human and supernatural secrets offers Ian information about a glowing object he’s been obsessing over. In exchange, they demand a favor Ian isn’t comfortable granting. The deal forces him into a precarious alliance, revealing shared vulnerabilities between them.

The Unexpected Neighbor (0/1): Ian’s new neighbor, a human with no apparent connection to the supernatural, is oddly persistent in trying to befriend him. At first, Ian dismisses their efforts, but their uncanny knack for stumbling into supernatural trouble forces him to intervene, sparking an unusual bond.

Memories That Linger (0/1): A supernatural being seeks Ian’s help to recover memories they’ve lost. As Ian uses his memory manipulation abilities to piece their past together, he becomes entangled in their personal struggles, creating an unexpected bond.

The Hacker’s Heist (0/1): A supernatural crime syndicate hires Ian for a high-stakes hacking mission involving a rival faction. During the job, Ian crosses paths with another supernatural being who’s working the same target from a different angle. Their forced collaboration leads to tension, but also a surprising camaraderie as their goals align.
