Elijah slid the mask onto his face. He fixed his suit, pulling his tie into proper alignment then turned and walked out of his bedroom. He stiffened, hearing the voices of all the people he'd invited. He exhaled, then proceeded to the top of the stairs, where he stopped and waited for Tatia. He extended his arm out towards her, and turned towards the stairs. "Are you ready, dear?" He turned to look at her for a long moment, then he looked out at all the people below in the foyer. Once Tatia's arm was around his, he took a step down the stairs towards the people below, and stopped half way.
"Welcome to my home, We're glad to have you here, This party was to announce the return of my fiancee, Tatia, and celebrate the engagement. I do hope you all enjoy." He gave a smile, then started down the stairs carefully.
MASQUERADE PLOT!!
JUST SO EVERYONE INVOLVED KNOWS, Silas has been given to someone to play as their character now.

To whom it may concern;
I invite you to a masquerade ball at my home. Attire is black tie, women in ball gowns. I suggest you go to the enclosed store locations or sites to find a proper Venetian mask. I ask you bring your invitation with you and give it to the man at the door as you come in. The Masquerade will take place on April 5th at seven o'clock sharp. I do hope to see you all there.

MASQUERADE PLOT
I'm refining this a little bit. Essentially, Elijah'd have thrown a giant Masquerade party, simply because he can and everyone's invited. What happens is Silas ends up trapping everyone in the house, and perhaps with some strange magic, the masks are stuck on people's faces, so no one knows who anyone else is. Everyone has to figure out who is who, friend or foe etc. And one person in the house is actually Silas.
It'd be a little horror story-esque, no one can leave, no one can take off their mask - and someone is Silas, but who? And it would be like one person would get to play their character, but play Silas playing their character? Which I doubt would be hard?
IT'S LIKE THE GAME CLUE, ONLY WITH VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES, WITCHES, DEMONS, ETC. ETC.
