8: First kiss

Stefan and Caroline were walking arm in arm through the woods, just enjoying the quiet for a change. With everything that was going on, the two just needed some time away from all of the drama and stress that came along with the new changes in Mystic Falls. But Stefan was happy to just be with one of his best friends right now. Caroline understood him, and they could always make each other smile, which was something both of them really needed to do more often.

“Everything’s gonna be okay Care.” he said to her, breaking the silence. He stopped walking for a moment, turning to face Caroline with a small smile. He didn’t know why he stopped or why an urge to kiss Caroline suddenly erupted in him. His eyes averted to her lips, and before he could stop himself he was kissing her lightly, cupping her cheeks in his hands. Before the kiss could go too far he pulled away a little, “It’s gonna be okay.” he whispered dropping his hands from her cheeks slowly, meeting her gaze.
