Distraught, was the perfect word to use about what Caelus was feeling, the moment the battle between them and Aventurine had ended. From the very beginning, everything had felt wrong ⸺ off, as if this was nothing, but a big theatrical play. It was the way that the blond spoke, acted and how not once, did he look Caelus in the eyes. Yes, he got hurt by being reduced, once again, to "Mr. Stellaron". It was such a cold title, that gave the impression that all his worth, was due to the cursed object within him. It hurt, because he had come to care deeply for Aventurine, who had showed a side of himself, that Caelus hadn't expected to ever see. However, little by little, he had seen it and little by little, he had been drawn in, to the point of letting many of his walls down. In return, the Nameless had shown a side of himself, that no one else had seen as he had felt it was only right and also, because Aventurine made him want to do so. However, now, it had left an open wound in his chest. Especially, the moment he had seen Aventurine vanish before his very eyes due to Acheron's counter arrack. It had resulted in golden depths widening as panic took over his whole chest. Even later, as Firefly had appeared and revealed that she was okay, Caelus had still felt it all too clearly within his chest; the overwhelming worry, the sadness. What was the worst, was the million of thoughts that had appeared in his mind, whispering of panicked "what-ifs", that awoke even more worry and fear. The moment, he had been given an opening, Caelus had taken the quickest way to the hotel - to Aventurine's room, only to be met with... an empty room. It had made the Nameless stand frozen in the middle of it as his golden depths stared unmovingly at the dream pool before him. How could it be empty...? At least, Aventurine's unconscious body should be here! Tears, without permission, ran down fair cheeks as Caelus didn't understand, why he was met with an empty room. He had spend a couple of nights here, had come to see the IPC manager and knew that this was in fact, Aventurine's room.
After he had gotten it all out and gotten a firm grip on his own emotions, Caelus had went back to the others and among the chaos, got to know, where Aventurine might be. It took a lot, but finally, he was here; in the depths of the dreamscape, where only Acheron had been able to guide him. Due to not wanting to worry anyone, Caelus had told no one, except her, about his plan. No one could blame him for worrying about Aventurine, for who knew, what would happen to the male, if the dreamscape ended up collapsing, with him perhaps seriously injured or worse- no, Caelus wouldn't think about that.
Soft pants could be heard escaping fair lips as the Nameless ran around the chaotic dreamscape. Everything was a mess and everywhere, cracks were forming, giving a clear indication of how unstable everything was. It was a place, meant for no one and meant to crumble away. Golden depths were filled with panic as Caelus continued to run through the chaotic place, uncaring that he, himself, was getting deeper and deeper in and that he could hear creatures snarling and growling from the darkness around him, undoubtedly twisted things, caught by the distortion here.
Suddenly spotting something brightly crimson, Caelus blinked in shock and surprise. Argenti?! Running towards the man, the silver-haired male manifested his bat before swinging it at a creature, that had jumped at the knight. It shattered upon impact and finally, golden depths spotted, who was within the familiar arms. Despite wanting to ask questions, despite wanting to check Aventurine over, Caelus spoke something else;
with those words, the Nameless showed the way, where he had entered. Immense worry was filling up his chest, but Caelus ignored it as they ran through the collapsing dreamscape, where the darkness, all around them, was creeping in. It was only, once they were back at the hotel, that Caelus allowed himself to profoundly thank the Knight of Beauty and ask a few questions.
Now, standing before a very injured looking Aventurine, Caelus busied himself, fetching things to make everything comfortable for the male as he slowly lowered the other into the dream pool. He had no idea, how it worked, but hopefully, this would return the other to reality. A reality, where Caelus would come, if requested and where, he had left his pocket watch, to make it clear, that he had been there. For now, he needed to put a stop to everything that was going on and make sure that no one else, was going to suffer.
