lovett doesn’t have to pick ronan up at the airport, is the thing. they’ve done this enough times over the years, they fly coast to coast enough that ronan can get to lovett’s house while he’s at work. lovett doesn’t have to step out of the office to pick ronan up at lax. but he does.
it’s become their thing. lovett just has to see ronan walk over in his glasses and messed up hair. he has to see ronan sigh, tired as if he flew the plane himself, and smile at him.
