We’ve gotten pluto comforting us, but what about us comforting him….

Pluto didn’t even know it was coming. It was all just…built up— so one wrong teasing remark had him running down the hall to a random empty closet. The whole group just glances at each other, cause the tease wasn’t even mean. It was decided by all his friends that you would be the one to go. Knowing Pluto he probably wouldn’t want too many people with him in such an emotional state— crowding him would just make it 10x worse.
Anyway, when you get to and knock on the door he peaks out. Once he realizes it’s you he lets you in without much argument. He hides being upset very well, sure sometimes he’ll get moody but crying? Yeah he hides that. So when you see him crying for the first time? It’s panic time but for a change.
To comfort him really just listen to him vent and let him cling to you. With Pluto's past in mind I really doubt he got hugged from anyone so just hugging him makes him cry harder. When you try to pull back since crying more was absolutely not the goal, he will cling to your shirt mumbling things like, “Please…don’t…I’m sorry…Just…stay a bit longer?” He’ll end up napping since the crying tired him out and when he wakes up and realizes that you’re still there? He feels much better. (Side note: If you give him a gentle kiss on his head? He will cheer up even more.)
