Green Tea- Cruise Control <Places & Spaces, 2009>
Kero One's "In All the Wrong Places" was the second song of his that I'd ever heard, after "Check the Blueprint" became an instant favorite of mine and much like the latter track, it would become one of my favorites on his should-be-considered-a-classic debut album, Windmills of the Soul. But while it was an album that convinced fans of jazzy hip hop all around the world, Kero One was just starting out then and the album's singles never got a proper music video... until now.
Many years have gone by, but the track is still just as good as it always was, driven by an enchanting jazzy keyboard and plenty of seemingly perfect production as Kero One waxes on about how we look for love in all the wrong places. It's a bit of an abstract video and possibly higher concept than the very straightforward track, but it's still nice to see the classic finally get a video treatment.
