With businesses finally starting to move into the newly renovated Green Garage, we have started a new experiment to study what plug loads will look like for each of the businesses in residence. This study is intended to develop a profile for each business to help determine their share of the electrical usage charges, but it is our hope that this information will also be enlightening to all of us to raise awareness for what the cost is for using our office equipment, both in terms of dollar cost and cost to our environment. Maybe together we can help each other find the most efficient computers or ways to use our technology so that we can reduce our impact overall.
