How To Choose The Right Sugar Flowers To Decorate Your Wedding Cake
One of my top tips when making sugar flowers for a wedding cake is to know your flowers and their meaning. The other tip is to have a clear understanding of what ideas and symbolism the engaged couple want to convey on their wedding cake to their guests.
If your wedding theme is Opulence and your wedding colours are deep blue, royal blue, plum and black. Consider using roses that express these meanings and which compliments these colours
The BLUE RIVER (Top Left) and BOBBY CHARLTON (bottom Left), are excellent sugar flowers to decorate your wedding cake. Blue River roses are quite attractive and unusual in shade - they carry a pale lavender centre with crimson shading all along the edges of the petals, they also carry a sumptuous scent.
My new favourite, is the BOBBY CHARLTON, so beautiful,
The rose petals are pink with slightly paler, silver-pink shades on the back of the longer petals. They are known for their size - and elegance in the foliage of their petals, an excellent choice for romantic cakes.
