BLENDING INTO THE ENVIRONMENT . I struggle with ambition. Some days, I reach for the stars, put myself out there, make connections – other days, I want to hide from society, put my head under a pillow, and pray for invisibility. . I don’t know if my struggle is due to my introversion, depression, or fear of rejection. Together, those elements certainly weigh me down. However, looking into how each affects me, I think that the terror of rejection weighs the most. . I’ve read about and heard stories how famous models and actors endured multiple rejections before they got a foot in the door. I admire their tenacity. What's not revealed in those stories is how each rejection affected them. Was their ambition so strong that rejections just fueled their fire? . I want to know how you deal with rejection? Do you have specific coping skills you use? Do you allow the rejection to stop you momentarily on your journey to deal with the feeling then move on?
