February 4
We just had a full supermoon/blue moon lunar eclipse in Leo, sun in Aquarius. Wherever that point hits in your natal chart will mean a long-term culmination, end to something. A new moon solar eclipse is due in two weeks – February 15 –to bring in a new phase that could last years. That will be in Aquarius at 27 degrees of Aquarius conjunct Mercury. Mercury—the news, the media, what we are talking about, thinking about, will undergo a transition. In Aquarius, it can be unusual things occurring in the news, or alternative means of communication, or a new technology related to communication or travel. Jupiter in Scorpio will be square to that new moon, and a square angle creates stress or tension. Jupiter is expansive, and in Scorpio could be digging deep, bringing what is hidden out into the world and creating tension in what is being communicated. Hidden secrets, undiscovered items or issues can be the new topic of alternative media, alternative ways of thinking.
Before that all happens, we have Mars in Sagittarius sextile to Mercury in Aquarius on the 4th. Often Mars and Mercury can mean arguments or fights, but at this positive angle, there is a possibility for some passionate communication, strong news, or strong words that lead to a positive outcome. Possibly taking action to say something unexpected, or to sign an unusual or unique agreement could lead to a positive outcome. But if no action is taken, there will be nothing that comes of it.
Venus in Aquarius is square to Jupiter in Scorpio. Venus can relate to love, beauty, art, finances, happiness, creativity, or values. Jupiter, the expansion of what is hidden, of something related to money, could create tension in an unexpected way regarding money, values, what we own, art or the arts, happiness or good of the collective (Aquarius rules society, the greater good, social justice). Venus moves quickly so it may only last for a day or two, and it could soon become a positive connection, when Venus moves into Pisces and trines Jupiter. But while Venus is squaring Jupiter, Uranus in Aries is sextile to Venus and opposing Jupiter. Uranus in Aries can be unexpected action, or a new technology related to energy, possibly unexpected outbursts that, if the action occurs, will have a positive effect on Venus—the love, values, prosperity, beauty or happiness that is also unexpected or unpredictable in Aquarius (Uranus rules Aquarius), so there is a possibility for an unexpected action to occur that could bring a positive outcome regarding love, money, happiness, values. The unexpected action could hinder investigations, deep secrets, research, underground or underwater exploration or expansion. The recent earthquake in the Pacific ocean can relate to Jupiter (expansion) in Scorpio (water, what is hidden).
Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto and Uranus are the big players here, with Uranus preparing to move into Taurus and saturn having just recently entered Capricorn where Pluto is. Jupiter will remain in Scorpio at a highly positive angle to Pisces --for awhile it was to Neptune, now it is closer to Chiron, meaning that could bring about a healing to some sensitive issues related to compassion, creativity, and possibly even in film making or music, and perhaps related to water and spiritual matters. As we move toward summer, the connections between Uranus and Saturn will become positive, but for now, Uranus and Pluto are at odds as they are within about 5 degrees of being square to each other, and when Mars meets Pluto in Capricorn at the end of April, there could be a power play related to government. Some strong action taken regarding the authority, the government, the leader, and possibly strong action that brings about drastic change. That is a power struggle with unpredictable actions being taken, and it won’t likely let up for a couple of months, improving once Uranus enters Taurus.
More about those in the months ahead.
