It is SO fucking important to five content creators support and feedback! Let us know that you like it, or even just are following it! I'm literally going to restart my passion project (My entirely POC + LGBT+ magical girl webcomic Ringaround) just bc someone I don't know irl mentioned that they knew of it. Didn't even mention how they felt about the story itself, just let me see that SOMEONE besides myself is engaging with it...

I first started the project four years ago. I'm just now starting to share chapter two of it because it's SO time intensive and consumes so much energy, but gets so little engagement bc getting anything with Native rep is such an uphill battle. And that's without mentioning the gender and sexuality spectrum shown, the disabilities represented, etc...

Tldr, literally just giving us the knowledge that ANYONE besides ourselves is interested in what we're working so hard on can make a huge, HUGE difference, especially when it seems like it's not worth it.

I've taken up traditional shell carving!! I was able to get some beginner carving tools thanks to a donation over on twitter. 💕 You're supposed to go with the natural beauty of the shell, and in the shell I chose for my first attempt (the stills) I saw a mother and child. I stained it with gentian violet so the marks would show a little better. For the second one the shell was already artificially dyed so I worked in negative. I saw a face in profile so went with that.

Maybe not the easiest themes to go with, but I very much enjoyed it. It felt right. Got to break out my old industrial style dust mask for the first time in ages lmao my dogs didn't know what to make of it lololol Ignore my nails. They're not dirty, it's just stain from the violet 😂
