After spending the night in Ambrette Town Pokemon Centre I decide to take up Serena on her advice and find out more about Fossils. Interesting Pokeomn can usually be found in fossils. Plus she had a point. Maybe while learning about Fossils we can learn something about Mega Evolution as it involves stones. So on way to the lab I talk to few townsfolk and one kind person gave me TM94. Rock Smash. Be handy later on. I find someone who can use this for me later on. Once inside Serena catches up, where was she? I never saw her at the Pokemon Centre.
We both go to the scientists there and they explain a little about Fossils to us. When we ask about Mega Evolution they tell us they only know about it involving Stones. Thats it. So basically nothing new. Oh well time to leave. Or so I thought. They stop us and tell us that we could check out an actual fossil dig site. It was beyond Route 9 in Glittering Cave. Also they told us to talk to the Assistant there.
Interesting. Worth checking out. So I leave Serena behind and start to head to Route 9. As I pass through the gate I'm told by another scientist that I will need to ride on a Ryhorn. But in doing so I can pretend I am like Grace. Seriously I never knew my mum was so popular. As I get to the other side of the gate I find a Ryhorn ready to take me. So I ride him across the spiky pathway all the way to the top. Where I find Orion. He is a Sky Trainer and wants a Sky Battle with me. Not one to turn down a challenge I accept and Fletchlinder beats his Ledian.
Now I head to the cave and inside doesn't resemble the name of the cave. Its dark and confusing. After taking few wrong turns, finding TM65 SHadow Claw and even capturing a Solrock, forgot not part fire, and a Rhyhorn, hey Mum has one why can't I, I finally find my way to the next level. There I see this person in Red suit with red hair. To my surprise its a woman and she tells me to get lost. She is with Team Flare. They only care for themselves and nobody else. They wanted the fossils in the cave to control strong Pokemon.
Now I couldn't accept her way of thinking. Also the Assistant was somewhere here. I couldn't let anything happen to them. So I challenged her to a fight. Being only grunt level she had a Houndour and Zubat. I took them down and she tells me that she's not alone in the cave. So I move on and find another grunt. This one had a Gulpin and an Electrike. Pansear took them down but was starting to fee the effects of the battles. Before I could switch his position in the team two Grunts appear before me. They ready to double team me. When suddenly Serena appears. She also can't accept Team Flares way of thinking and we team up again to take them down. Scraggy and Croagunk v Pansear and Espurr. I had to switch out Pansear for Braixen. His psychic move will help here. However they double team on Serena's Espurr causing it to faint. But it makes her bring out Frogadier. It was a great sight. Our two starters out together ready to fight. They didn't disappoint making quick work of them. With that Team Flare clears out.
With Team Flare gone we check on the Assistant in the cave. Seems he knew nothing of the trouble. He was just happily minding his own business digging up fossils. Me and Serena look at each other and just laugh. We had nothing to worry about after all it seems. As a reward he gives us a choice of fossils. I pick the Jaw Fossil and Serena got the Sail fossil. With that he left the cave and headed back to the lab. Serena mentions she is going to get stronger. In order to travel round as Team Flare is around. She mentions that there is a gym in Cyllage City. FInding what she said interesting I use an Escape rope to get out of the cave easily.
After another ride on Ryhorn I end up in Ambrette town to get my Fossil revived into a Tyrunt. Shame he isn't part fire. Would of loved to have used him. Oh well gonna take a break in the Pokemon Centre and then move on.
