★ Treecko ♂ (Hero)

╰┈➤ˎˊ˗ Named Sheldon, during his first days being a pokemon he had a more physical fighting style due to the lack of pokemon instics (and for the fact that he is a human turned pokemon), he relied in karate-like moves or sticks to defend himself.

╰┈➤ˎˊ˗ Eventually after Nuzleaf's teaching and practice Sheldon comes to conect with his Treecko self, being capable to use special moves, like Absorb or Dragon Breath. He also learns to leap and run on all fours, by the later arc of the main story he acts more like a Treecko than a former human.

You think PMD Heroes ever have trouble with urges related to their species' behaviour?

- Bidoof hero sees a river, goes "absolutely not", and builds a dam.

- Golett hero has innate urge to line up boulders for no apparent reason.

- Bagon hero keeps throwing themselves from cliffs with reckless abandon, so partner commissions a landing pad.

- Misdreavus hero keeps getting into trouble for scaring people.

- Murkrow hero hoarding shiny things.

pmd: eos headcanon that humans in the pokemon world are exceedingly rare and nearly extinct. some kind of apocalyptic event or series of events lead to the mass decline of the human population, leading it to be dominated by pokemon almost entirely.

humans are weak creatures in a world that is hostile to them. any pokemon old enough to know about what humans were like often blame them for the state of the world. as a result, humans don't live with others of their kind and are often sent away to live on their own, to avoid groups of them getting killed at once. it is only a matter of time before the last human dies and the species becomes extinct.

the hero in the dark future was one such human, sent away by their ailing parents to live alone. a chance encounter allowed the human to meet grovyle, the one pokemon who longed to change the dark world they'd inherited.

the human and grovyle had lost everything dear to them, bonding over their shared grief. perhaps, the human thought, if the sun could shine again, the few humans left living in the world of the past could finally have a chance to survive.

even if it meant the human had to sacrifice their own life to make it possible.

Some PMD worldbuilding, because I want to know where them gummis,berries and seeds come from Effects of Reviver seed plant (and flavor):

ingesting flower or seed gives you recover from fainting (mildly sweet),

ingesting the leaves or steam also recover from faint status, but also give temporal increase stats/strentgh (bitter with sweet aftertaste)

Revive seed plant is pretty valued in PMD for its abilities to resurrect a fainted pokemon (as a seed mostly) , as well its leaves giving some stat boost and treating sick pokemon.

Thus, the plant is pretty much farmed along with Oran berries and status-curing berries, and as adverse event, the rival plant laughing kissweed (or Jynx's kissweed) was culled out in favor of reviver seeds. the Kissweed is a deliriant doesn't help either, so additionally it was an anti-poisoning measure.

some agriculture mons were clueless and/or careless about comtamination of reviver samples with seeds those of laughing kissweed, thus, Reviser seed plant is born.

The reviser seed plant effects:

Unlike it's natural variant, laughing kissweed, not a deliriant, but more of psychoactive agent (still neurotoxic),

Ingesting flower, stem or seed causes involuntary muscle contractions (mostly those diaphragm and facial), causing victim to involuntarily laughter, before the energy gets rapidly depleted. (moderately sweet),

ingesting leaves causes you to see (both audio and visual) hallucinations, hypoventilation, dry mouth and droopiness. Overdosing possibly can make you enter respiratory arrest (very sweet with disgustingly bitter aftertaste)

Weirdly enough, Aromatisse line, Jynx line, lickilicky line and most poison types (shocker) can ingest og Jynx's kissweed without being affected by the toxin (or being asymptomatic). And those who lick/kiss someone can pass the toxins to victim. Only symptom they exhibit is droopiness. Cold Kissweed (another kissweed specie in snowy and dark areas), another deliant plant, with event more toxins, is completely different story...

Hey everyone, I know I still need to make part two of those headcanons, but the tanks been empty so here's something else instead. I've been wanting to write my own pmd stuff for a while and there are two ideas for it that won't get out of my head

*1: more than one partner character, even though I know that idea has been done to death already.

*2: the guildmaster of the guild the characters are in being a drampa who refers to all of his guild members as his kids, and going ballistic if any of them are hurt or lost in a dungeon and going to get them himself.

I just want one pmd protagonist to have a father figure that actually does shit.

Sometimes I think more on the Hero’s Dimensional Scream ability and how odd it is, and the more I think about it the more I want to go into it.

Like for starters, I like to headcanon that one of the trade offs for such an ability is constant migraines, not quite to the scale of pain and dizziness that happens when the Scream activates, but constant and just as unpredictable.
