I’m having an “I wish I was a better/faster/more focused/could choose a damn style on my tablet” kind of day/week/month. I have so much fanart of fanfics and games I keep thinking about drawing and just can’t 🙁
hello there 😄

Hi hearts4maya! 😁
Thank you so much for reading Promise Me, Little Brother! I love that story as well! There is so much family drama and unresolved sexual tension! 😬
Fun fact: Promise Me was only supposed to be 15 chapters long when I initially outlined the plot, lol 😆 but then I couldn't stop writing it. And I turned it into a novel because I love single!victor AUs.
Having it set during the Quell with Katniss and Peeta as spectators also made for a super long story because then I had to come up with a whole cast of side characters and a subplot. Which still gives me headaches whenever I try to write about it. But, still, I love the complexity. I guess that's just my long-winded way of saying that this story takes a lot of focus and planning to get right, but I totally plan on continuing it!
I am currently settling into a brand new job at a new school, and I haven't had a chance to update any of my stories in weeks. But hopefully, things will normalize soon, and I'll be able to start updating regularly again!
Again, thank you so much for reaching out! I seriously love getting insight into what readers think about my long fics! 😌 It's so nice of you to take the time to inbox me here on tumblr! It gives me a little push to remember that people are out there waiting for the next chapter!
And hopefully, you guys won't have to wait too long. This weekend I'm swamped with my nice and nephews birthday party so I won't be able to write on my day off, but maybe next weekend? I'm going to try my best to write something next weekend 😊
I am not sure what week we are on but,
I wrote 922 words for chapter 33 of Promise Me, Little Brother.
A whole day late but...
“I hate it when people assume things about me. And some of the things they’re saying…..” Katniss says angrily, her footsteps coming down harder, like little stomps.
I look over at her in confusion, “Like what?” I ask worriedly.
“Just. Terrible things.” Katniss murmurs, head down.
I’m quiet for a moment, so is she, “You mean, about what happened with my mother.” I decipher.
She sighs and nods.
“Katniss. Everyone in the district knows my mother’s terrible. She’s been like that for years. Before I even started talking to you. Don’t make the mistake of accepting any of the blame for her behavior. She is who she is. And there are many reasons for that. But none of them have anything to do with you. Not really.” I tell her.
“Even if that’s true. I still made things worse. If it wasn’t for you going with me to that party-”
“We went to a party together?” I ask incredulously.
Katniss stares at him. Blinks once.
“You don’t remember that?”
“I think—” I start off, closing my eyes briefly and recalling something that had been nagging at the back of my mind, an image and sound I’d have choked up to fantasy but that had so many details that I wasn’t completely sure it was. The night air was warm and tasted like smoke. I was sweating in a thin blue shirt. Voices around me were laughing and music was playing. A wheezy, but pleasing metallic sound was blowing on the breeze. A harmonica. Nearby there was a whisper of a voice. Something beautiful.
“I remember you sitting on a crate, drinking from a dented tin cup and…singing softly. But I’m not sure if that was real or not.” I finally say.
She blushes, furiously and looks away.
“Was it real?” I prod.
“I was kind of drunk. I think.” She mutters, still not looking at me.
“Were you?” I ask, for some reason not believing it entirely.
“Let’s not talk about it.” She pleads. My mouth tips down automatically into a frown before I can help it. I’m so tired of people not being honest with me.
“Ok, but if that was real. Then I have more questions. There are other things I remember and-” I tell her, not letting up. But she grabs my forearm.
“We’re here! Let’s just find Prim, okay?” She cuts me off, and tugs me closer to the crowd. I think I’d be more annoyed with her if she wasn’t holding onto my arm so determinedly. Without any intention it seems, of letting go.

“Ok, now your turn. How are you doing? Really?” She turns and asks me, gray eyes assessing and scrutinizing in the dim light.
I feel all of the false bravado go out of me, like someone just cut my strings. I take a shaky breath, try to force some reassuring words out, but nothing comes.
I look away from her impenetrable stare, and shake my head.
“That’s what I was afraid of.” She murmurs quietly.
Then she moves into my space and opens her arms to me.
I don’t hesitate to fall into them.
