It was an undiscovered planet at the time.
Olimar really did just crashed onto this planet, saw the error screen on his rocket or smth and thought “wow what a cool name”
Imagine being taken away from your own home over and over by your previous coworkers who keep assuming you do not live where you live.
We can all agree that the error 404 means something is not found.
PNF can be read as Page Not Found to be reference to the website/code error
But it can also mean 404: People Not Found
