I kinda hate the way famshipping and platonic shipping is put above romantic/sexual ships. Like, if a RPer puts more focus on those types of relationships over the latter, they are automatically considered deeper and more quality than someone who well -- uh, doesn’t or boasts more of a balance between the two. Honestly, this bizarre sense of prudishness that crops up from time to time within the RP community is wearisome. Let’s stop spitting on each other because some people like writing romantic and sexually charged ships, yeah?

It’s ok to have standards of quality when it comes to writing partners. It is ok to have standards of quality for the people you write with. I’m not talking about simply formatting and icons and all that shit, I mean the writing itself. Everyone has their own opinion on what makes for good writing, mind you, so I’m not going to try to quantify it, but I just want to say that’s OK. IT’S FUCKING OK TO HAVE STANDARDS. There’s no reason to force yourself to write with someone who doesn’t inspire you for the sake of fairness.
