And just like that, summer is coming to an end. I know we have a few weeks but the rain is here, the hawthorn is ripe, and the cottonwoods are already yellowing. Wild apples litter the ground and elderberry is just turning that beautiful shade of chalky blue. What a season of abundance. That full moon energy has got my mind and hands in overdrive. Preparing for some upcoming local shows and contemplating all the delicious things to make with these beautiful And yummy Salmonberries hubs and I picked. We ended up with about 4 pounds and they are still available in a few of my favorite forest spots so hoping to get some more when we go out for Huckleberries, Thimbleberries and Black Caps. Fingers crossed I get some Fireweed in there for jelly too! What is your favorite wild berry?
