Ok, so of all the characters I was expecting to see growth from in The Primal of Blood and Bone...KOLIS was not on the list.

People fantasies over morally gray characters, until they are presented with a really morally gray character with questionable decisions. What were you expecting? Casteel has always been morally gray, he never hide that, he has always been open about his murderous tendencies and the fact that he can become a monster if something happens to Poppy. Did you think those promises were for just for shits and giggles ? Although he annoyed the shit out of me in this book, I wasn't shocked at all at the ending, besides he just saw his father and friend die horrible deaths in front of him, and knew his wife was terribly injured ( if not dead since he can't know for sure because of the imprint) because of something he warned everyone about and none wanted to listen to him. NGL, I would be Hella mad too.
