1) I like that I can be an adorable fruitcake towards guests but the second they piss me off with drunken rowdiness I switch personalities and they’re cowering in fear as I throw their belongs out onto the street.

2) I like my nose. I don’t know why. It’s a weird thing about yourself to like.

3) I like my love of colours.  The second I bought my new house I painted every room a different colours and I have multicoloured crap absolutely everywhere.  It’s never a dull moment in my house.

4) ….(finding it hard to think of things)…..I like….nope I can’t think of anything else and i’m running late for getting organised my plane leaving soon for my holiday BYE!

5) Oh wait I like being a good saver of money so I can go on holidays ^__^

Top 5 shows that are Aesthetic™

Penny Dreadful: I never had but one true love, and it was the flawless Victorian supernatural gothic aesthetic of this show. like all dark and lovely things, it was gone too soon. :(

Bridgerton: I have never seen it and I don’t want to. I love the version of Bridgerton that lives in my head and I want to live there in pastels and elegance at all times.

Cowboy Bebop: I’ve only ever seen the live-action show on Netflix but the vibes are immaculate. it’s noir, it’s western, it’s sci-fi, it’s cyberpunk, it’s midcentury modern. Han Solo wishes he had half the panache of these space cowboys.

Marple/Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. listed together because the premises are the same: vintage murders, stylishly solved.

Medici/The Borgias. listed together because I can’t believe I was blessed with two (2) shows about Renaissance Italy that are full of opulent art, luxurious wealth, and beautiful men with fucked-up moral compasses. for me? they shouldn’t have.

How many books did you read this year?

76, according to my Storygraph, which... seems like a lot now that I look at the numbers. First of the year was Sin Eater by Megan Campisi (which was also my first DNF), and if I can finish Midnight is the Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead in the next seven days then that will be my last of the year. If not, it'll be Sasha Geffen's Glitter Up the Dark: How Pop Music Broke the Binary, which is an honor I'd really rather not give it.

16. What is the most over-hyped book you read this year?

Answered Prayers by Truman Capote. A nasty little book that paints a portrait of a nasty little man. At under 200 pages it still somehow manages to drag on too long. Your time would be better spent going down a Wikipedia rabbit hole about all the drama this book kicked off-- or better yet, reading Capote's Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era by Laurence Leamer (and then skipping the lackluster FX miniseries and learning to make a good gin cocktail instead).
