Could I please adopt a sweet lil Pocket!Azusa? I'm a homebody and he could play games whenever he likes.

Unlike some of the other pocket pets, pocket!Azusa is not very difficult to keep from getting bored. Since you’re a homebody, you won’t have to worry about pocket!Azusa ever feeling lonely because he’ll have someone to interact with. He will develop a taste for certain games and always try to pester you (in his quiet way) when you have a free moment.

Can I have one pocket Ayato or pocket Yuma, please? :)

Sure, which one though? If you can’t make up your mind, we have some helpful information that may help you decide :]

Pocket!Ayato

Likes to have his ego stroked very often, so praise him

Very responsive to positive reinforcement and negative punishment (ie. “You are being mean to Yui, so I will take her away. When you are ready to be nice to her, I will put her back.”)

Needs to be outside somewhat often to get exercise and stretch his legs

Needs to be fed 4-5 times a day (big eater)

Needs to be entertained, so play interactive games with him, but make sure the games are not too complicated or he will become frustrated (tic-tac-toe, battleship, etc.)

The game must have a clear winner (so he can gloat).

If something is happening, he wants to sit on your shoulder so he can see 

Likes to give you and other members of your household nicknames

He will shout their nicknames instead of their real names everytime they walk by his cage, hoping to get their attention

If he doesn’t want to be bothered, he will throw wood shavings (or what his cage bedding is) at you when you approach his cage

Doesn’t feel safe sleeping in the open (unlike some other pets), so give him a box with a hole in it and he will make it comfortable for sleep

Please listen to his jokes. He spends a lot of his time thinking of jokes. They may be corny but that means he is in a good mood.

He gets a boost when his owner genuinely appreciates him for who he is.

Pocket!Yuma

Very fond of pocket sized sugar cubes, which we sell in jars. They come with tweezers too.

He will try to sneak into the sugar jar to gorge himself so be sure to lock it and keep it out of sight from him

If you ever find him sprawled out, sleepy, and difficult to rouse, he got into the sugar jar. There’s nothing you can do, but let him sleep if off. Hide the jar somewhere else.

Aside from that, he makes a marvelous pet for owners who can’t afford to buy pocket pet food as often because he is so self-sufficient

He loves to grow all kinds of vegetables and fruits. He doesn’t care if they grow to be pocket sized or normal sized

He will always eat half of what you feed him (unless it’s blood) and store the other half away because he fears running out of food no matter what you tell him

DO NOT STEP ON HIS PLANTS

It will be almost impossible to earn his trust again. He will destroy anything you are working on to show you how you made him feel

Tends to be critical of unambitious owners and is blunt (“Stop lying around!”,“Get some work done!”, “Stop procrastinating!”). 

He just wants to be treated fairly. Do not make him feel inferior or you will get a painful bite. 

One of the competitive pocket vampires, he enjoys a good fight, but he’s not a sore loser

Please listen to his advice. He grows veggies so he knows what makes or breaks a salad.

Doesn’t like to be handled very much, he prefers that you just let him sit on your head so he can relax and let his mind wander.

They both have their pros and cons, it’s just a matter of personal preference.

Can you let the pocket vampires use dollhouse items and clothing or is that not recommended?

Pocket vampires may use dollhouse clothing if you cannot afford to buy the tiny outfits that we hand make for each of them. However, the artificial fabric is not something that feels good on their skin, so some of them may refuse to wear it a second time. If the dollhouse clothing has fake buttons or zippers, it will confuse them and they will scratch at them for hours. Others will yell at you and make a huge fuss until you return their clothes. Some others will quietly wait and change back under the cover of darkness. 

It’s not recommended to have them wear clothing made for dolls long term because they are sewn for aesthetics, not with movement and comfort in mind. But if you need to save up some money before you can buy more of the same outfits from our department store, doll clothing will suffice for a while (they will wear it but they won’t like it).

As for dollhouses items, some pocket vampires may find a use for them, while others will turn their nose up at the very idea unless they are functional. Nevertheless, if the dollhouse were to look something like this, then they will want to make it a part of their home. Pocket!Kou may even try to order some home decor to spruce up his ‘vacation home’.

Is it okay to put pocket!Ruki, Shuu and Yui in the same cage? What would happen then?

Pocket!Yui is a friendly species, so she may approach them to get to know them better. She would want to be on good terms with her cagemates and she will assume that they will feel the same way. Pocket!Shu most likely will not acknowledge her attempt to begin a friendship, and blatantly ignore her, while pocket!Ruki on the other hand may become mildly annoyed over pocket!Yui’s naive assumption that they will all get along with each other. He may in turn cause her to second guess herself and should pocket!Yui should any kind of perceived insubordination against him, he would not hesitate to remind her of her status as nothing more than a pet for their owner. Pocket!Yui may thus feel sad and turn to pocket!Shu for comfort.

Pocket!Shu will try to take advantage of pocket!Yui and try to get her to do things for him that he doesn’t feel like doing himself, such as grooming and feeding himself. Since he and pocket!Ruki both share a laid-back personality, they won’t have much to complain about each other (although problems will arise if the owner does not bother to keep the cage clean, as pocket!Ruki prefers clean and spotless environment, or he will nag). The owner must make sure that they do not forget about pocket!Yui, as both these pocket vampires will take advantage of her kindness because pocket!Yui likes to please others, and she won’t have anything left for herself.

Haha what's the pocket vampires' diet like? Do you buy some kind of blood kibbles from pet shops for them? lolol

Since they are still vampires, blood remains the main staple of their diet. Kibbles and other dry food are not recommended for pocket vampires because it can cause them to develop health problems. For example, the high carbohydrate contents found in dry food can upset their body’s natural metabolic processes and they can get diabetes. Free feeding is also not recommended because it causes them to gain too much weight and lose the drive to hunt for their prey, which is how they get their food in the wild. 

We recommend buying our special pocket vampire wet canned food or the bottles of refrigerated blood (they come from animals). They come in various sizes and they have expiration dates marked on the front. Pocket vampires require little blood per meal, and you can use an eyedropper to feed them, or to put their meal in a small bowl. Some may choose to lap it up, while some will demand you hand them a spoon. 

Alternatively, if you are not squeamish, it’s perfectly fine to feed them your own blood, as long as you are not ill. Their bites become less painful the more they trust you, but we suggest that you wait until they are not afraid to approach you before you attempt to let them feed directly from your hand. 

We have observed that each species (except for pocket!Subaru) has a particular human food that they like. You may choose to feed their favorite food to give their diet some variety and spice things up a little. Here is a helpful guide:

Does pocket!Shu likes to tease his owner like real Shu? Calling lewd woman etc.

None of our store associates have ever been called ‘lewd’ by pocket!Shu, but they have been teased by them, mostly during handling times. 

Since our pocket vampires come from the wild, they must be handled daily by trained professionals in order for them to acclimate to humans. Pocket!Shu are a somewhat sedentary species, so owners might have to prod them to get them to move along (for example, when it’s time to clean their cage). That is usually when pocket!Shu become more cheeky toward their owners. They may say things that sound strange or they may try to provoke you, but rest assured, it’s just another way they hope will convince you to leave them alone. Proceed as you normally would.
