What program do you use for pixel art?
Same program I use for everything else! Paint Tool SAI! I use the “binary pen” tool! I had to use another program to turn it into a gif, though.
Hi! I read your skincare post and I have a few questions. Some other sources I looked at say that rose water is anti inflammatory and an antioxidant? I just wanna know what your source was on rose water. Also, what do you know about hyaluronic acid and niacimide? Thanks!
Hi! So sorry this took me such a long time to get to, I hope you haven’t lost interest hehe. As you may already know, rose water is derived from rosa damascena. This plant does in fact have some anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, however it is a fragrant plant and as such, it can also irritate skin. Here’s a review about rosa damascena and it’s effects.
Goncerning hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, they’re both ingredients with numerous benefits for skin. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in skin and, because of its high number of negative charges, it can bind a lot of water. When added externally, this can help attract moisture from the air into your skin and keep it there. Moreover, it has some antioxidant proppertie. Just a quick note that HA can also be found as sodium hyaluronate which is more quickly absorbed by skin. However, ingredients absorbing more quickly doesn’t make them ‘better’ per se, as both are eventually absorbed. Anyway, bottom line is, it’s a great ingredient to look for in your skincare. The same can be said for niacinamide. There’s been tons of research lately that show that it can improve lines and wrinkles, overall skin tone, hyperpigmentation and even reduce the appearence of pores. Plus, just like hyaluronic acid, it is very well tolerated by skin. I am planning on doing a post on benefitial ingredients for skin and these two will no doubt be included on there but that will probably take some time haha.
Thank you for your question! I always love seeing people doing their own research so pleae hit me up if you come accross something interesting/have any more questions!
nearly done reading a spy in the house of love, specifically the ending section about duchamp’s nude descending a staircase being a divided woman moving through space and time, each division living its own life- anais nin cannibalizes her diaries and autobiographical experience into a story of sabina, and the end result reminds me of henessy so much that I have to wonder if maggie was inspired by her, this novel, or even this specific section. i see reflections of henessy’s sleepless anxiety, guilt and dread over the multitude of selves that rely on her, her fear of her true identity and fear that she lacks one- even parallels can be drawn between her parent’s lives- jay is the name of one of sabina’s lovers… has anyone had similar thoughts on this?
