once, there was a string gummy out there who was never saved by his director. one who rotted away in a time pocket, hoping someone would reach out to him. when a hand finally grasped onto his, it was not the director of the tbd. but it had been a former one. and she told him that there was a way to get out. against all odds, she would be the one to help him leave the time pocket.
anyways, pocketkeeper is a strange figure who keeps watch of time pockets. time pockets, strangely enough, have a sort of accumulative effect. being trapped in one will eventually erase your core timeline, but eventually may effect other timelines similar until there is no record of you in any timeline ever, not just the one you came from or its branches.
this is where pocketkeeper comes in. as some cookies are extremely important to many timelines, for them to disappear from all of them would be disastrous. his job is not to save every cookie, no. some get out eventually. some need to stay in and be rescued by someone else, like most other string gummy cookies. his job is merely to save those nearing the point of no return, to keep the ones not sharing their fate away from harm’s reach. he does not help them adjust back into a world that no longer recognizes them. that is not his job. it is merely duty to him.
he holds no pity for them anymore. he’s seen it all before.

The Director’s Rift AU is this main Cookie Run AU I have. It mainly focuses on a bunch of TBD Directors* (*and other miscellaneous time gods). The titular Director’s Rift is where they all meet up. Main characters are our Timekeeper (called STF), Timeless Love, ROTEF, Clockwork Director (literally just a Director Croissant but she didn’t send String Gummy to get rid of the time manipulators), Early Riser!Croissant (a croissant who became the director early), Pocketkeeper (String Gummy as a time god), and Endless Cupid (my timekeepersona who Loves Selflove)
There are a few substories like Endless Cupid’s TBD which consists ENTIRELY OF DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF CROISSANT/TIMEKEEPER and STF’s TBD including my OCs.
They go through dumb shit together.
