Yesterday was a scary day for our family. We awoke to an early morning phone call that Bertaut’s dad was in a serious motorcycle accident across the world in Cameroon. We learned that he was in the hospital awaiting surgery for his injuries. We spent most of the day waiting for an update and praying for his life. Thankfully the surgery saved his life. The surgeon said he would have died yesterday if they hadn’t gotten him into surgery when they did. We are so incredibly grateful that he is still here with us, the patriarch of our family. This is a reminder that you never know when it will be your last day on Earth. Cherish the time that you have with your loved ones. Make the most of each day that you have together. As Bertaut prepares to fly back to Cameroon to be by his father’s side as he recovers, we are even more grateful for the beautiful weekend we shared together at @woodloch resort.
