Top Ten Things Heard At The "Go Bowling 400"
Poconos, PA– NASCAR’s Sprint Cup “Go Bowling 400″ at Pocono International Raceway is in the history books with Dale Earnhart Jr. mastering the “Tricky Triangle” for the second time this year.
But, come on, the “Go Bowling 400?” It appears as though NASCAR is really reaching for a sponsor for the second race at the Pocono tri-oval each year. Nevertheless, here’s the Top Ten list of things heard in the crowd at Sunday’s race:
10: Do I have to rent shoes? 9: Do they change Richard Petty’s name to The King Pin for the day? 8: Excuse me, I seem to be having some trouble with my ball return, can you help me? 7: Are they going to put rubber bumpers on the walls for Danica Patrick? 6: I heard they call pit row “The Gutter” today. 5: is the pace car really shaped like a big bowling ball with a Confederate a Flag on it? 4: Do these guys really need GPS devices to navigate the triangle? 3: I had to tell my wife I was going bowling just to get out of the house for this. 2: I think I saw Jeff Bridges at the refreshment stand.
Here it comes, ready for it?
1: I hope these drivers don’t get careless and lose their balls.
I acknowledge that David Letterman is the master of the top Ten List. Our right to publish this list is a fundamental freedom guaranteed by either the First Amendment or one of the Ten Commandments, documentation for which could not immediately be determined because the research staff was at the “Go Bowling 400″ in Pennsylvania.
