i just wanted to say that i really love that you made the poczutara blog. i am a woman of color who ships zutara, and i’ve been in the fandom for a while. i actually run the incorrectzutaraquotes blog. from experience, being a poc zutara fan can be scary at times. a lot of times antis will try to make you feel less poc simply because you ship it, and i’ve gotten death threats over it before. allowing us to have a safe space is amazing, and i appreciate it a lot.
And I appreciate you more for contributing to this fandom with incorrect Zutara quotes, or more like surprisingly fitting Zutara quotes! ☺️
And yeah, I know what it feels like with the antis. I still remember the "you're brown, but you must be anti-indigineous if you ship Zutara" take; (I swear I'd have paid to see that Anon's face when I told them all Venezuelans are descendants of the Wayúu.)
I scrolled through some of the posts you've made about racism in your blog, I'm so sorry you've had to endure so much from so many people in your life. Maybe it comes from different experiences, but I also know what it feels like to seemingly not fit anywhere.
I don't want anyone else to feel that way.
I created @poczutara because I believe union indeed makes force. I don't want POC fans to feel alone anymore against the VERY common racism in the ATLA fandom, I don't want them to feel like they aren't listened.
They are listened, and seen, and nobody can tell them who they are or what can make them happy. I want to spread that happiness. So, if you ever want to get your content spread, just tag me and consider it reblogged! 😉
