One podcast that you think person interested in audio drama should listen to:
The Magnus Archives… I know everyone and their mother recs TMA but it truly set the gold standard for me in terms of audio drama, I’ve never encountered anything else that made me so feral and for such a long time (three years this month.) Part of the strength lies in the fact that it’s both an anthology and has a compelling meta narrative, plus a really broad cast of diverse characters so there really is something for everyone — if you don’t like one element you’ll probably love another, etc. I’ve even known tons of people who aren’t even into horror as a genre to love TMA. It also has a HUGE and active fandom so you will never want for art, fic, cosplay, etc. There’s an endless amount of it and it’s all delicious. Very appealing if you’re into fandom but not yet sure if you’ll like audio drama as a format.
One podcast that has community around it you love interacting with:
Spirit Box Radio! I’ve actually taken a step back from active participation in fandoms recently but I think the community around SBR is really lovely and a lot of us in the Discord server are invested in the creator’s other two shows, too, which creates a cool dynamic. SBR has some really rich and wonderful worldbuilding that gives fans a lot of room to play around in it :)
One podcast that inspired you to create something:
Super Suits by Faustian Nonsense! It’s a superhero-themed legal comedy. I backed this when it was crowdfunding because the concept felt like it was tailor-made for me (a law student obsessed with cheesy legacy comics) and I have not been disappointed. I wrote some fic for it — the characters are so so fun and I couldn’t resist. The 9th episode just came out but it’s a 20 episode season and I would l o v e to see more people talking about it!
One podcast that have music you could listen on repeat:
WOE.BEGONE, definitely. The creator is also a musician and he puts so much care into the soundtrack, and writes intermission pieces to split up each season of the show. There’s also music scattered throughout. even if you don’t listen to W.BG you should check out his music on bandcamp.
One podcast that’s new and you need more people to join in appreciation:
CRY HAVOC! (Ask Questions Later) from Rusty Quill!!! Public release was today and I’m SOOOO excited because Patrons got to listen to it two days ago and I had to keep my mouth shut, but no more! Everyone should FLOCK to this one especially if you’re already a fan of Wooden Overcoats (also by David K Barnes) it’s so fun and it’s going to be full of such ridiculous shenanigans, I can feel it. (also I desperately need some fic to read. I’ll probably write my own too. but. pls.)

Life With LEO(h) season 2! It’s a romcom about a woman and her illegal android love interest. Season 1 was soooo good and ended on SUCH a huge dramatic cliffhanger, and the new season is finally dropping this month! VIBRATING with anticipation, guh.
(is this cheating??? otherwise I was going to say The Magnus Protocol coming this fall but I already rec’d the original series above😅)
