27. Who is the most stressful character you’ve ever written? Why?
That is a very good question, and I wish that I had a good answer! I've had a lot of characters give me grief when trying to write them over the years, and a lot of them have been really stressful to write as a result, so picking one in particular as The Most Stressful is... Not easy. Even if we narrow it down only to fandom characters, or only my original characters, there's still a pretty large pool to pick from.
I'd have to say, though, that if I narrowed it down to three it would be.... Mm, Trafalgar Law from One Piece (I do not watch One Piece, which added to the difficulty I had with him), my lovely Sly Cooper fan character Sophie Caldicot (she is. difficult to write sometimes. she has problems, man.), and Darkiplier that goddamned mess of a Creature.
With Law, it's just that most of my understanding of him comes from what I've been told, or research I've done, and I stress hard about not mischaracterizing him as a result. Additionally, two of the three fics I've finished that involve him have been emotionally charged in some manner, and trying to write him was just. A big ball of stress, but one I was happy to roll uphill anyway.
Sophie, as I said, has problems. Her personality is all over the place (purposefully, on my part), and she is just a stressful person to write about. Even the moments filled with levity and joy are, for me, overshadowed by knowing what she's like and that she will, willingly or not, fuck up everything around her with her own instability. She stresses me ou because ouch, same.
I don't think I need to elaborate on Dark, man, I'm sure you of all people understand why he's stressful to write
28. Who is the most delightful character you’ve ever written? Why?
Similarly to the above, I have a hard time picking, buttttt...
It's Ryou Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh!. By a lot.
While I hardly write anything that involves him that's actually delightful in nature, I always have a lovely time doing it. He's just fun to play with, and playing my ideas off of other peoples' ideas where he's concerned is just... Overall an enjoyable pass-time.
Writing him makes me happy, even if I'm doing awful things to this poor traumatized pretty boy.
