Before the sun rose, her heart danced with courage, painting the dawn with dreams, as whispers of happiness gently inspired the world to awaken.
A small poem. The words wrap around certain elements of the painting. Although I hadn't used painting as a prompt in the first place. Also, I thought of twisting the painting a bit.
Who are you?
The end of a line
Or
The end of time.
Moonlight in my starry night
Or
My peace of mind's demise?
How far away from the truth do you sway
You stand so close yet feel so far away.
You speak so loud but I hear you soft
Like the water gushing down in massive drops.
You're the air I breathe,
Sometimes like a blade that slits.
You put a bullet through my head
And carry me to my bed.
I wish I could place my head on you
While you sing me songs of solitude.
You fill me up and unburden me
See me past this roaring sea.
I wish I were you And you were me
Maybe then we could do things differently.
My grandma told me once
You should be selfish
Leave the sinking ship
And not look behind
Never, my child, never
Let yourself drown in the sorrows
that do not belong to you
Learn to swim, learn to fly
Be ready to leave when it's time.

Be selfish enough to leave the sinking ship.
Constantly ..
It’s like I have no words.. can’t even explain what I’m thinking
Constantly pulling my own self up to keep from sinking
Did I mess up my own destiny, by repeating the same mistakes
I’ll do anything to stop feeling lonely, whatever it takes
I confided in you, told you about all my troubles
I get a different you every time.. it’s like seeing double
Did I ruin what was meant for me.. should I let this new thing fade
Because I can’t keep this a secret, or else I’ll take it straight to my grave
I never wanted to hurt again, let alone be the person to hurt someone
It’s this sour feeling I get every time after the damage is done
I can’t believe I fell for the okie doke, swear I was smarter than that
But that’s what I get, thinking I would’ve gotten the old you back
It’s time to process these thoughts, I can’t sleep well at night
If you can’t make up your mind, nigga I won’t put up a fight
Im too real with myself, I can’t even begin to pretend
I’m just wondering when in my love life will this agony end..
Constantly running through lovers, but never finishing the race
Fine I’ll be alone.. and I’ll do that shit with grace

The first thing I did this morning as soon as I woke up saw @nesrina.writes post through which I got to know about an exciting poetry prompt, color green, shared by @growyourpoetry // I decided to take this challenge to add another "he" poem to my collection // after writing a series of positive "he" poems, I thought of writing a little pessimistic "he" piece this time 🥀
It wasn’t love at 3 am.

I know a girl that is scared of her shadow.
I know a girl that is scared of her shadow.
To her, it is as dark as a black hole.
Not the one cast by the sun,
Rather this one can not be undone.
The present will pass,
But the past will last.
Forever stuck in eternal worry.
Yes Try
I am no body, with no mind and yes soul. I am no where and no when but yes why. I can see no one finding yes me because I’m no thing only yes try.
