{Nov 2, 2016} Poem Sketch Tonight I am jumbled. I am at low ebb. All my thoughts lie one big net. This is not yet a poem. A beginning, perhaps. Maybe. A line or two to keep, the rest to save for another day. Must sift to find the gold. The hidden heart. The magic word. (2/30) #poemsinthewild #writing #poemsketch #poetry #roughdraft
(Nov 1, 2016) Self care tonight meant painting and tea, after a busy day tending to others needs, I called up my spirit with ultramarine, used cerulean to wipe the slate clean, used clear water to bless the way breathed in silence and welcomed the grey and made my way home back to my body. A sheet of paper. A smooth pen. Writing to you, soul sister. You Who sees Me As I See You. My mirror. My self. Wherever you may be know I am standing with you.
journaling-junkie's March Journal Challenge Day 2: An Ancient Notebook.
An ancient notebook? It would probably be discovered in an attic beneath a suitcase filled with linens and lavender sachets, scented with a young girl’s kisses and a token of undying love.
It would probably be discovered in the recesses of a worn baby grand piano, cobweb keys tinkling, as you pulled it out of its chest and placed it on an old music stand, dust dancing in the air.
An ancient notebook would probably be discovered in a very old house, at the end of a dead end street, filled with musings and the petals of a rose from a love charm once worn around the neck. It would be discovered under creaky floorboards, buried under a thousand footsteps covered in the dust of once was us. It would be left as a gift on the beach, almost as if it was a mermaid’s diary which she bequeathed to you with a secret trust and called you friend. An ancient notebook bequeathed to you, to me, to us. To read and love and write the storybones of our lives, our hearts, our souls.
