Who is most jealous of whom? For example, I’m guessing that Erwin maybe has the more contention with Zeke. With your answers for Erwin, it sounds like he’s more likely to wait for the reader to confess than confess himself. Are the others the same way?

Erwin: no surprise, he's there to show you around on your first day. but you actually meet just beforehand at a nearby café, where he compliments you before realizing who you are. he tries being very professional afterwards, but you keep bringing up common interests he loves 📚
Porco: you need to plan your class together, but Porco is barely replying to your emails. you happen to bump into him when exploring the city when he's surrounded by a bunch of his fans/groupies, who don't like when you take his attention away 👀
Reiner: you run into each other in the halls at work. you had no idea he was working there, or even lived in the city, and things get angsty quick. but of course, you originally met as kids because your parents were friends with each other, and were often playdates 💔
Zeke: something along the lines of the meet-cute collab i wrote, you meet somewhere near your apartment building, and after he manages to get under your skin, learn that not only do you work at the same school, but he's your neighbor 🤦🏽♀️
👀Jealousy😒
Erwin: you got it, Erwin is most jealous of Zeke. Erwin is pretty jealous that he is your neighbor, it means Zeke can easily spend a lot of time with you out of the eyesight of coworkers. as much as your peers joke about you and Erwin being work spouses, they also whisper about the increasingly clear sexual tension between you and Zeke, and Erwin does not like this 😠
Porco: for Porco it's definitely when he sees you around Reiner. whenever he sees him touch you, and you don't move away (or worse, lean into it), a lot of instincts flare up. he knows that Reiner has broken your heart and wants to confront him just for that alone, but deeper, Porco is jealous because whenever he gets physically close to you, you roll your eyes or think he's just being a playboy when he's not 😔
Reiner: he is 100% jealous of Erwin. He can tell that whenever Erwin is around you he just radiates Husband Energy, and Reiner cannot have that. Reiner is used to being the person who knows you the best, but it's soon clear Erwin has been paying attention to all your preferences and knows you better now. whenever Erwin brings your favorite drink, or you say that Erwin introduced you to your newest obsession, Reiner is green with major jealousy 😤
Zeke: surprisingly, he's jealous of Porco, because whereas Zeke has to convince you for everything, Porco could waltz in and whisk you away without much resistance. Since Zeke is your neighbor, he also hears him drop you off home and how he's actively trying to court you. You don't seem to really resist Porco when you always have your walls up around Zeke, and he gets jealous when he sees someone else so easily do what he can't 😣

Erwin: yep, he's highly unlikely to confess any feelings, potentially the most tortured of the four. he really likes you, and every day you seem more and more compatible. but he just doesn't want to risk both of your jobs from a potential misunderstanding, so he plays cautious. he is waiting for you to take the first step and he's more than happy to take the next 99 🙏
Porco: he is the only one to outright flirt with you, getting physically close and complimenting you. but you're convinced he's just a flirt and used to people being attracted to him, so you mostly just roll your eyes at it. he is a bit commitment-phobic because of his career (and groupies), but when he starts to see other guys move in on you, he'd cut to the chase and confess 🙇
Reiner: Reiner is always about 5 seconds from breaking down asking you to give him another chance, and you both know it. you start having fun times together after initial turbulence, and old intimate habits begin to reemerge. this is all about if you're willing to give it another chance, you can already tell he wants it bad 😩
Zeke: this is definitely a rivals to one night stand to friends with benefits to lovers arc 😂 there's going to come a time when both of you are drunk and hook up in a fit of passion. and as your attraction becomes more undeniable, and you have more intimate (nonsexual) moments, eventually Zeke's heart of gold comes out and he confesses to your complete surprise 😶

3. By contrast, what was the moment that first made their ~heart~ Soft for the other person? Not necessarily a conscious realization of “I love this person,” but a moment that had them like “Oh…I adore them…”
One quiet day, Erwin is working on his computer in the office until you come rushing in, forgetting to knock and waving a book in your hand.
"Erwin, I've found it! You've got to read this~"
It takes him a bit to get his bearings, but he realizes you're showing him some academic writing addressing a problem you've been having writing your next book. It's a unique connection, not one he would have made on his own. It dawns on him that he was smiling without thinking, enjoying your enthusiasm and mild incoherence. That's when he realizes, there's something more to you that he wants to discover.
"Let's get a fancy lunch to celebrate, my treat."
8. What do they think about romantic love? Do they have baggage surrounding it? Do they idealize it? Is it an object of longing and wanting, or were they really not thinking about it until they started falling for the other character? What are their expectations like?
Love isn't really on Erwin's mind at all, and for a while he thinks his interest in you is just intellectual curiosity. Rather, it's when coworkers start commenting on your closeness that he starts to think about it. He realizes that he's often thinking of you first when looking for company, and if he passes by something you like on the way to work, he grabs it. Erwin enjoys your company... but why? And as a way to learn the answer, he decides to spend more time with you, until it's obvious even to him he's begun to fall in love. But because it's a workplace relationship, he's hesitant to make a move, and doesn't shift his expectations at all so nothing endangers being colleagues. He's fine with being called your 'work husband,' but he's always one push away from wanting to involve you deeper in his life.
24. What would their partner do that would really turn them on, perhaps unintentionally?
The two of you are often out at lunch together, and sometimes try each other's food. One time, without really thinking, when he offered some of his on a fork, you just leaned in and ate it. You weren't acting weird or making a big deal, just to him, seeing you move towards him like that, and watch your lips work in any capacity, especially in public, was a turn on. And like the gentleman he is, he makes sure to do the same whenever you offer him something.

14. What makes them feel loved? Would they build up the courage to ask for it?
Erwin really appreciates when you take initiative or do things with him without prompting. He's used to being the pursuer and because of his personality and physique, more dominant. So when you surprise him by making a dinner date to a place he's mentioned before, or choose to spend time with him over other people or things, it really makes him feel good! One time when he was forced to stay late at the office to finish a chapter by deadline, you hung out on his office couch reading, and would take him on needed coffee breaks. Sometimes you would doze off but refuse to leave each time he said you didn't have to wait up for him. He ended up leaving at 1AM and you were there with him the whole time to keep him company. If it was possible, you'd see little hearts floating around his head as the two of you walked sleepily to the train station together. Being a giver, Erwin almost never asks for what makes him feel loved, so that you're perceptive enough to see how much he likes it and do it for him without him suggesting it means a lot!
23. How comfortable are they talking about, and openly communicating during, sex?
Before any sort of sexual desire or intention is communicated by you, Erwin is pretty straight-laced. He's a complete gentleman and never wants you to feel like his main intentions with you are sexual. Being coworkers, sex is a bit taboo to talk about in the workplace, and he doesn't want to make things awkward. Even if you did start a relationship, he'd be slow to initiate sex just because of how cautious he is about not wanting to ruin your relationship. He'd wait until you showed you were ready and willing. However once that seal is broken, he loves pre-sex and pillow talk. Erwin wants to know everything you like and make sure things are 100% consensual. He also really enjoys when you not only ask about his desires, but play into them without him having to initiate it. During sex he's less chatty and more a man of action, but definitely enjoys if you're verbal with him!
13. What is their go-to for making a partner feel loved?
Scheduling quality time together is definitely Erwin's main love language! He's a busy guy: being tenure-track means he has to be publishing articles and books constantly, he works out or plays team sports daily, and often travels for work. It might not seem super romantic, but if Erwin schedules you into his daily life, it's a big sign of intimacy for him. That's why whenever you're around, he asks to do lunch, just the two of you, or invite you to tag along to a lecture he's going to. You begin to notice this when he proposes a coffee break with you in a day full of meetings where otherwise he won't be able to hang out much. Even just waiting in line with you for a bit of conversation is him paying attention to you in an otherwise hectic life.
33. Under what circumstances would they feel jealous?
I'm going to say how he'd feel jealous towards your other potential suitors since that will be the main way he encounters jealousy.
Porco: whenever you're around Porco you seem to laugh so much easier, and he isn't shy about closing the physical distance between the two of you. This brings out Erwin's territorial side, especially when Porco casually puts an arm around your shoulders or sits very close next to you.
Reiner: similarly, Reiner's physical closeness to you based off of prior intimacy gets at Erwin, who is trying to keep things professional. He also notices how you seem to drop everything whenever you get a text or call from Reiner, Erwin deeply wants to be the only person you do that for.
Zeke: Zeke is also good at getting your attention, and Erwin sees him as an intellectual rival. Whenever you and Erwin discuss politics or shared interests, you tend to be in agreeance or you're sharing things with each other. He wishes he could get the passion from you like Zeke seems to when he pushes your buttons.

Being that he's your coworker, Erwin is extremely hesitant at outright pursuing you. He doesn't want to make things complicated at work or ruin your friendly relationship by misinterpreting your feelings. However he's always simmering beneath the surface, always making himself available to you, trying to give you opportunities to be the one who reveals their intentions. Unfortunately you're a bit oblivious to this 💀 But if you were to make a first move, confessing feelings, or initiating physical contact, he will 100% reciprocate and be as upfront as possible once he sees a green light.

New Beginnings

“Sure you don’t want to go home?”
You lifted your eyes from the soup on your desk. Erwin stood in the office doorway, about to leave after delivering your feel-better lunch. His pinched eyebrows gave his look of concern a seriousness you weren’t expecting.
Since waking up, you felt miserable. Stuffed nose, sore throat, downing cough drops walking to work. And it was raining, of course, a chill drizzle that seemed to change direction every few seconds. When you got to school, your nose was permanent shade of red and every inch of skin shivered. The jingle of your keys opening your office cued Erwin to poke his head out of his, commenting that you arrived later than usual. He was the last person you wanted to see, feeling like a shriveled swamp creature shrinking in front of his immaculate appearance. It was then he rushed out to get you some soup while you tried in vain to look like a professional human being.
“It’s just feeling off from the changing seasons, I’m okay.” You tried to seem like you weren’t in discomfort but it was clear you couldn’t breathe through your nose. “I have two classes to get through today. And don’t forget our committee meeting, then the philosophy guest lecture I promised Zeke to go to, and that’s not even counting the social afterwards-”
You interrupt yourself accidentally dropping your spoon into the soup, splattering liquid all over the place. An explicative slips from your mouth as you startle to your feet and frantically try to clean things.
“May I?” You didn’t notice Erwin stride over to you, hovering his hand over yours. When he receives a confused nod, he lifts yours up and into his palm. It quivers, partly because this attractive coworker is touching you in an intimate way, but mainly from the chills running through your body. “It’s room temperature in here,” after he gestures to your forehead, you let Erwin feel your temperature. “and you’re hot. Running hot, temperature-wise, that is.” He mumbles that last part out as he puts distance between you. The room feels much colder when he steps away. Erwin takes a look outside the window, and then to his watch. “I can drive you home if we leave now.”
“But- I have so much to do today!”
“I’ve taught one of your classes before and you can give me notes for the other.” His voice is both serious and soft as he reaches out to touch your shoulder. “I’d rather you rest.”
It didn’t take much more to lead you down to his car and whisk you away from work. Erwin listened to you complain about how Porco is unpredictable to teach with, keeping his focus on the road except for when he’d look over to you whenever you fell quiet. For a bit it felt like you weren’t coworkers, but something else.
As he escorts you to your apartment, you realize this is the first time Erwin has seen where you live. His eyes trail the door of your neighbor as he passes by, knowing Zeke lives there. When you step in yours, you turn to look up at him.
“Thanks for everything Erwin, I wish I could invite you in for tea or something.” You get a tingle in your stomach when we smiles.
“I’d love to, let’s make a plan for another day. And whenever it’s bad weather out, just text me and we’ll carpool to work together, okay?”
From then on, you and Erwin began to spend a lot more time together.
