About: The Poetry-to-Portrait Reading Series will be a “storyboard” of portraits inspired by the performance of poetry. The portraits will be of Houston poets, one featured poet a month, painted/created by Houston artists while the poets perform their work at Independence Art Studios. It has not yet begun; the project is a forthcoming event series sponsored by Indie Penned Events, an events series coordinator for literary arts and performance arts, hosted specifically at Independence Art Studios in the Independence Heights District of Houston, TX.
