Girls’ Night In

We’ve got our popcorn and our drinks,

Netflix on, pajamas at the ready.

Girls’ night in begins tonight.

Let’s put our face masks on!

Let’s turn up the volume on the TV, and get under the covers.

Various games of would you rather and truth or

dare

are involved.

It’s girls’ night in tonight

let’s pour the wine!

Tears are shared through some confessions,

but laughs are all around with popcorn thrown and secrets spilled,

the room’s a mess but we care not

it’s girls’ night in tonight!

We laugh from the rom coms and

swoon and

smile

when the hot male lead

gets the girl in the end.

We talk throughout the night

like we haven’t seen each other in

years

even though we saw each other yesterday.

We get drunk from the drinks

and make a mess from

our sloppy mistakes; but

it’s girls night in

who cares!

We fall asleep, our eyes masks on,

and don't wake up till noon.

I make us mimosas while you take care of the waffles, and toast when brunch begins -

till our next girls' night in!

I put on the coffee,

the scent of waffles in the air and

we fully wake up together through

brunch and conversation.

Our girls’ night in

should repeat

again.

Luckiest Guy and Luckiest Girl

Every night when I close my eyes

I escape from

The real world and enter

My dream world.

 Every night I travel across the oceans,

Surpassing the continents,

The galaxies that exist,

To a world where there is you.

 I dream of us not being

Oceans apart; but instead

Lying down on the

Cool soft grass next to

Each other looking up at the stars,

Surrounded by the

Clear night sky and in this

World there is only you.

 I can see the stars,

With you by my side,

No longer oceans apart,

Miles away not anymore,

Beside me,

As we cherish the serenity,

Of a world with each other.

 Enjoying the company I have with star gazing I try to find the

Big Dipper,

This constellation wants to be

Hard to find

But it was easy to see the

Shooting star flying

Across the sky,

I close my eyes and make

My wish.

 The Big Dipper flashes across

the sky,

So mesmerized in the magic

that was unfolding,

I looked beside me,

Saw her close her eyes,

And silently whisper,

A prayer perhaps, or a wish

rather,

I reached for her hand,

Never knew her fingers would

fit so perfectly,

In between the gaps of mine.

 I open my eyes to feel the

warmth

Of his hand

Holding my hand,

I couldn’t get past the feeling

of how perfect our hands fit

Together in between the

spaces,

I looked at him and smiled

Before looking back at

This starry night.

 Her smile is etched within my

mind,

The way her lips curled,

Showing her teeth,

While she held me,

I got lost in her smile,

She went back to staring at

the stars,

And I pointed her to the two in

line,

Not shining the brightest,

But shining together.

 I saw the stars that he pointed to,

They didn’t burn the brightest,

But they were still together

Never parted,

I laid my head on his

shoulder,

Looking up at the sky, and

Listened to his voice talking

about the stars that

Shine together.

 Her presence in that night was

so beautiful,

I was filled with such

happiness,

She laid her head on my

shoulder,

As I caressed her hair,

And talked of the stars,

That shine together,

I felt so honored to be in her

company,

Like the luckiest guy on the

planet.

 I hope he couldn’t tell I was

Blushing from him

Caressing my hair,

Since touching my head and

My hair is my weakness,

I felt so special to be in his

company,

Like the luckiest girl in the

world.
