#Repost @pohomichigan • • • • • • Port Huron, Michigan Elsa came to our vacation home in #PoHo in February 2019 in -17 degree Fahrenheit weather. She was brought in by family who were staying in the house at the time to save her from the cold. Since then, we have been trying to adopt her out because we knew that, come mid-December, no one would be staying in the house and, therefore, she is once again facing homelessness right before another brutal winter. Unfortunately, the shelters near us are full and the demand for a 4 year old once feral cat is completely non-existent. And, to be honest, Elsa has become part of the family over the past 9 months and we can no longer imagine life without her. Of course, we will always do what is best for her first & foremost, but we cannot deny that adopting her out now would be quite difficult. We've gotten used to the easy kitty sleeping on the sofa whose only demands are for a couple daily cuddles. For this reason, we wish to open up our permanent home in the UK to Elsa & welcome her permanently into the family. In order to do this, we need to raise the funds necessary to get her ready & transported to her new home. We'd like to get her to the UK in time for the holidays - We will be leaving our vacation home where she is staying in just one week and have family lined up to make sure that she is fed & watered, but we do not want to leave Elsa on her own for too long. She is incredibly friendly & social, and it saddens us to think she could be left on her own over the holidays. We would be incredibly grateful for your help in funding this move! We are unsure of what else to do - It has been hard work (with no result) trying to find a home for Elsa. She is such an incredible cat - All we want to do is bring her home & spoil her! Elsa's vets think that she is about 4 years old - That means she has spent 4 years without a home. She now has the opportunity to have a stable home with a loving family - All we need is your help!
