I am extremely curious, what is Pointer actually. She is clearly not a regular human. At first I thought she was a person with some kind of special Laplace hearing aids, the tuning line caught me of guard and gave me this idea.
Than the story started mentioning sensors and data ports and I started thinking that she made me an advanced form of an awakened
However the most fascinating this is that she started talking about her "safety programming" and being design to simulate life
However when presented with the statement that she is an awakened, she denies it
and that's where we are left in the main event, of course, it all may be revealed to us in the Hissabeth character story, but I haven't read it so I will talk about some theories that I have and if you have theories of your own, would love to hear them. We gotta figure out what's her deal is. The one clue we have is her flashback to a failed experiment. She probably was human when she took that risky experiment? That leads me to my first theory
Theory I: After the failed experiment we see in her flashback, there was almost nothing left of her body and had to have been relocated into a robotic suit basically, probably one of the projects that Laplace or maybe her team were working at the time. Judging by her actions it is safe to assume that she was the only person to live after said failed experiment and this is what leads to her actions and decisions during this event.
Anyways, would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Cosmic overture is PEAK by the way, I think it became my favorite event
